What internet speed do you really need for 8K?

Picture quality depends first on your download speed. In practice: 10 Mbps is enough for HD, 25 Mbps is comfortable for 4K, and 60 Mbps or more is recommended for 8K streams.

An Ethernet cable still beats Wi-Fi for sports channels. A $20 cable solves more problems than switching IPTV provider.

If you must use Wi-Fi, stay on the 5 GHz band and move the device closer to the router. Avoid sharing the line with large downloads during a game.
